About us
Our service is free and confidential. We provide support for adults aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in Southampton City.
Taking the first step can often be the most difficult part, but we are here to support you. We can guide you through the referral process, we’ll listen to what you have to say and determine the best type of treatment for you. This could be through an online program, an online webinar or course, a one-to-one video or phone call with a therapist, or a one-to-one in person meeting with a therapist.

Our PSPs can help you to realise what you are going through is normal and your feelings are valid. After your treatments ends, you can attend one of the peer support groups to check in and reflect on your mental wellbeing.

SilverCloud Employment Support is an online programme that you can access whilst having support from an Employment Advisor. There are three specific modules that have been designed to help you navigate all things employment. This may be finding work, remaining in work, or returning to work after a period of sickness. You can use these at a pace that suits you.
Your Employment Advisor will offer regular review appointments to support your progress and help you to reflect on the skills learned and the information from the modules. The modules have been designed by Employment Advisors, including the wide range of resources within the modules. You can access it 24/7 and keep all your guidance and support in one place.
The programme itself is very interactive and there is space for you to use tools and develop skills to resolve work difficulties. Usually, people work through this over an eight-week period. After you have finished working with us, you have continued access to the programme for up to one year.
To access Silvercloud Employment Support you will require a laptop, phone, or tablet. Please discuss with your therapist if you would like to be considered for access to SilverCloud.
If you are living with a long-term health condition or long-lasting physical symptoms that affect your mood, then we can help.
Our professional therapists can help you to cope if your mental wellbeing is affected by:
- Diabetes
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Chronic pain
- Long Covid
- Heart conditions, Stroke, or Transient Ischaemic Attacks (TIA)
- Lung conditions
- Stomach problems or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Other medically unexplained symptoms
- Persistent physical symptoms
We understand that living with a long-term condition or ongoing physical symptoms can make you more likely to experience poor mental wellbeing.
You may feel frustrated or angry and ask yourself why this has happened to you. You might also feel sad about not being able to do the things you used to or have given up hope that things will improve.
Our service uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which looks at the way our thoughts, feelings and behaviour affect each other.
Our therapists will work with you to explore what changes you could make that would help you to cope and feel better.
